About Me!

Hi!

I'm Becky Thompson LMT,CLT,MLD-C,CPT, RYT-200

Welcome to Truckee Meadows Lymphatic Massage, where we offer a comprehensive treatment for your overall well-being. We are delighted that you have chosen to visit us. Since 2016, I have been working as a Massage Therapist in the Reno-Sparks area, and I am deeply passionate about promoting health and wellness. I am constantly exploring new and innovative approaches to help my clients achieve balance. Like many others, I have personally faced challenges with severe digestive problems, systemic inflammation, and sleep disturbances, which left me feeling fatigued constantly. This personal struggle motivated me to embark on a journey into the world of health and wellness to find solutions and improve my own well-being. I started by practicing yoga to calm my mind and connect with my body, which was desperately in need of assistance. This led me to explore other avenues such as exercise and nourishing myself with wholesome food. As I made these changes, I began to notice positive improvements in my well-being. It was during this time that I also studied lymphatic drainage and became a specialist, discovering that yoga, exercise, and nutrition all contribute to a stronger lymphatic system, which ultimately boosts the immune system. My objective is to educate individuals on the significance of lymphatic massage and to help those who desire freedom from the pain and discomfort that I once experienced. I aim to make a positive impact on people's lives.

Lymphatic FAQs

What is your lymphatic system?

The immune system, also known as the lymphatic system, is situated just below the skin and comprises lymph vessels, nodes, tissue, fluid, and organs. Its primary function is to safeguard the body against illnesses and toxins by filtering and eliminating waste. Similar to a filtration system, if one consumes unhealthy food, fails to drink sufficient water, uses chemical-laden products, consumes alcohol excessively, consumes heavily processed food, or neglects to exercise, harmful toxins accumulate in the lymphatic system, obstructing it like a water hose, and resulting in sickness.

How to cleanse my lymphatic system?

If you want to boost your health, consider incorporating various techniques into your routine, including drinking sufficient water (maybe infused with lemon), engaging in meditation, practicing breathwork, doing yoga, applying compression therapy, performing gua sha, eating a nutritious diet, enjoying saunas or steam rooms, staying active, using herbal remedies, dry brushing your skin, and receiving lymphatic massages.

How often should I get a lymphatic massage?

People's responses vary, but in my opinion, it is recommended to detox and cleanse your body once a month. However, if there are medical requirements, more frequent cleansing may be necessary. For optimal outcome, I suggest cleansing every week for 6-8 weeks, followed by maintenance every 4-6 weeks.

How do you know your lymphatic system is blocked?

Symptoms such as limb swelling, constipation, poor blood circulation, allergies, tender and enlarged lymph nodes, frequent illnesses, digestive issues, bloating, body aches, swollen glands, depression, anxiety, fatigue, and mental confusion may be experienced.

"Health is a state of complete harmony of the body, mind, and spirit."
